Low tide on Amherst Shores on the Northumberland Straight, Nova Scotia. The exposed mud at low tide reminded me of brain matter. The sand is a deep red color which is intensified in the warm early morning light. The blue is the reflection of the blue sky in puddles of water on the beach.
