 I like the effect that the image has. It almost seems like you've used the "rule of thirds" for the image, but only used a 2/3:1/3 ratio for the elements.
I think much of the allure of the picture comes from the illusion of a disappearing point at the end of the shore. It gives the picture a wasteland effect that really contrasts with the deep, saturated sky. I don't know how much more of that coast is like that, but I think to give more emotion to the effect it gives, you could widen the angle - maybe use a wide lens? - and capture a brighter sky to give a deeper contrast.... Great photo! It is definitely going in my faves!  Nice, I really the use of the ultra wide in this shot, works well!
